Delhi: 70 More Children Fed, Educated, and Safe in Delhi

In Delhi, where rapid urbanization often leaves the most vulnerable behind, World Faith Delhi continues to expand its impact by providing education, nutrition, and safe spaces for children and families living in homeless settlements.

Since November, the Rainbow School has grown from serving 150 children to 220, with every student receiving daily instruction alongside a nutritious meal. For families facing hunger and displacement, this growth represents more than increased enrollment—it means more children have access to a stable environment where education offers both opportunity and a sense of security.

That commitment to stability is now taking physical shape. World Faith Delhi is transforming its Rainbow Centers into multipurpose community hubs that will serve families throughout the day. During daytime hours, the centers will function as Integrated Child Development Centres, providing essential early childhood services. In the evenings, they will host tuition classes for children attending nearby government schools. At night, the same spaces will become safe shelters for individuals experiencing homelessness. By maximizing a single facility to meet multiple community needs, this model strengthens education, child development, and emergency support under one roof.

Beyond the Rainbow Centers, World Faith Delhi is expanding its outreach through a new slum upgradation initiative in partnership with local NGOs. The program will focus on  waste pickers and their families, one of Delhi’s most marginalized populations, with the goal of improving living conditions and expanding access to essential services.

Together, these efforts reflect a holistic approach to building stronger communities. By educating and nourishing 220 children while investing in spaces and programs that support entire families, World Faith Delhi is creating lasting opportunities for children not only to survive, but to learn, grow, and envision a brighter future.
