Women’s Empowerment

World Faith is dedicated to supporting marginalized women in literacy, life, and livelihood skills. Whether supporting a women’s literacy program in Pakistan, or a community farm for marginalized women in Kisii, Kenya, women’s empowerment is a crucial pillar of our global development work. We also recognize that it is essential to create a space for women leaders, from volunteers up throughout the organizational hierarchy. A shining example of this is Lian Gogali, the founder of World Faith Indonesia, whose programs include women’s empowerment programs, a school for children called Mosintuwu, and fearless activism against those who incite violence in Poso, Indonesia. We are eager to redesign our logical frameworks to better leverage our programs to deliver deeper impact in the coming year and beyond.

Childhood Education

As World Faith grew across South Asia and Africa, realized that our vision for interfaith action cannot be complete without early-childhood education. Starting with the Rainbow School in Deli with 17 students, we expanded our education program to support the education of about 300 children in four countries, including Indonesia, Kenya, and The Gambia. As a result, we’re currently redesigning our educational program from top to bottom to leverage it for social change.

Public Health

World Faith is dedicated to addressing public health and sanitation issues. In some developing countries, public health crises can hamper productivity and slow economic growth. In others, it can be a leading cause of death. Whether it’s HIV/AIDS or Malaria, to challenging issues like undrinkable water and improper sanitation, public health cannot be left out of effective development programming.
Particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa, we at World Faith realize that we cannot do any work without a public health angle.  It affects everything.
