A native of London, Florentina moved to Westchester, NY when she was almost 8. She began work in the non-profit sector with the Considering Alexander SIDS Foundation. Since the Foundation’s inception in 1996, she has organized fundraisers and promoted awareness of SIDS. Florentina was a founding member of World Faith and has since worked closely with Frank in program design and development as well as in promotion, marketing and recruitment. She was brought to interfaith work as a result of living and working with a community of students from different faith traditions that benefited from a deeper understanding of each other. Florentina also works as an NGO representative to the UN, a Resident Assistant and as a tutor to a boy with Asperger’s syndrome. She plans to earn an MPA from Wagner with a concentration in international non-profit management. Florentina earned her B.A. in Italian Studies from New York University in May of 2008.

A native of Portland, OR, Frank Fredericks began a life of journey by moving to New York City at age 18. After living, studying, and working in five countries and studying Music Business and International Politics at New York University, Frank decided to pursue his two life goals, one his passion, and one his calling. His passion for music led him to producing, engineering, and management. Frank has been working as a booking agent for three years, with both unsigned and signed artists spanning rock, pop, soul, and jazz. In 2007, Frank started Çöñár Records, which currently has four signed artists and is launching its marketing campaign.

After independent research on Christian-Islam relations in Egypt, and the experience of working as a volunteer in the US State Department's Lebanon evacuation during the Hizbollah-Israeli War in 2006, he realized the great need of dialogue between the faith traditions of the World. This inspired him to start World Faith. He rarely travels anywhere without a guitar, is learning two languages at any given time, and is perfecting his culinary skills in Italian cuisine. Frank lives in the East Village of Manhattan, New York, NY.

Rob was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. He is a recent graduate of NYU, where he studied politics. Rob has long been interested in the Middle East -- specifically the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He has spent time studying and working in Israel, as well as traveling is the region.

Through his engagement in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Rob became convinced that personal relationships across communities must be the foundation of any meaningful co-existence. World Faith offered him the opportunity to witness that philosophy in action. A World Faith co-founder, Rob has been active in the organization since its inception. He is currently working on an initiative that will establish safe houses in places of worship in the case of an emergency.

Alexandra Karasavva, a native of Manhattan, graduated from New York University in International Politics and Middle Eastern Studies. Beyond studying in New York City and Prague, Czech Republic, she interned at the United Nations for the Republic of Cyprus, as she is of both Cypriot and Lebanese descent. There she attended meetings at the United Nations Security Council, General Assembly, and Council on Social and Economic Development, and reported on how given issues related to Cyprus' role in the United Nations.

Her interest in Lebanon is rooted in her Lebanese heritage, but it wasn't until the July War of 2006 that she was inspired to take a leadership role in social work in Lebanon. After meeting Co-Program Director Josh Martin, they began developing the Lebanon Project, which is focused on peace-building through service, education, and dialogue.

She recently began working for Transperfect Global Business Solutions and was promoted to Project Manager in January. Alex speaks Spanish and Greek, is learning Arabic and has a working knowledge of Japanese. Beyond her career and social action work, she loves baseball and is an avid reader. She resides in Manhattan, New York, New York.

Born in Moscow, Russia, Anton moved to the United States at the age of 11, exposing himself to a myriad of different cultures and faiths. This diversity steered Anton, raised Russian Orthodox, on a long spiritual path, which after many years of searching has led him to Islam. This spiritual journey has made him very aware of the multitude of religious conflicts throughout the world and lack of understanding or trust among various religious communities. In World Faith's action-oriented idea, he found a great solution to these problems and has since worked on many projects, including this website, with the organization.

Anton plans to attend the University of Toronto this fall, majoring in Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations and Peace and Conflict Studies.

Soofia Ahmed is a native of Chicago and is a Senior at Elmhurst College in Illinois. Her love of the written word and her belief in its ability to break barriers inspired her to pursue majors in English Literature and Secondary Education. Her passion for social justice issues led her to become involved with World Faith. Some of her accomplishments include being featured on the Oprah Winfrey Show, as well as speaking at Amnesty International, National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty and Islamic Society of North America conferences. She is a recipient of the Gandhi Internship for International Justice through the Niebuhr Center at Elmhurst College and an active volunteer for Indian Muslim Relief and Charities, a nonprofit, nongovernmental organization. The summer of 2007 was her fourth year participating in IMRC's Summer Volunteer Program in India, and her second year as the program coordinator. This year will be her first time leading World Faith's Humari Dunya Project to India.
