World Faith Winston-Salem is the World Faith Chapter for the greater Winston-Salem area in North Carolina.  Our goal is to change the consciousness of citizens' of Winston-Salem regarding world religious traditions. The United States is the most religiously diverse and devout country in the world.  We have not lived up to the American ideals created by our forefathers, especially regarding John Winthrop's city on the hill. We want to proudly display that a mosque, church, temple, and synagogue can exist on the same street--that tolerance precedes judgment. We can accomplish this is together through bettering the city as a whole by participating in the act of faith of all traditions--community service.

The bonds that you create with a Muslim, Christian, Jew, Atheist, Hindu, Buddhist, or whoever are constructed while you are achieving a common goal. In helping and in trusting each other we find a common humanity that bridges the divides of religion. This is what World Faith Winston-Salem promises: by participating in our community service projects, you will see individuals not for being a Muslim or Jew or Hindu, but for being human and for being an American.
